SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — South Kingstown firefighters released bodycam footage of what they faced earlier this week while battling a two-alarm house fire.
The Union Fire District team responded to Amos Street Monday afternoon and were met with heavy flames coming out of the third floor.
District Chief Steve Pinch said they managed to keep the flames from spreading to other parts of the building, giving credit to the first crews on scene.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital with burns to his legs, but he has since been treated and released.
A GoFundMe campaign is now raising money to help the family that lives there.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
