WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — An upcoming "town hall meeting" will give residents a chance to learn more about what's happening at Rhode Island's General Aviation (GA) airports.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, General Aviation airports are open to the public but do not have scheduled service for more than 2,500 passengers every year.
Block Island, Newport, North Central, Quonset and Westerly State Airports are all considered GA airports.
The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) said it will be holding the virtual public information session that is open to the public on Oct. 23 at noon.
The RIAC will give development updates on projects happening at the five airports. People who attend will also have an opportunity to give comments.
A Zoom link will be shared here on the day of the meeting.
