NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) -- An investigation is underway after a small plane landed on its roof at the Quonset State Airport on Saturday afternoon, 12 News has learned.
Around 4:34 p.m. an aircraft had reported engine problems and experienced an accident during the landing, a spokesperson for the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) told 12 News.
The pilot was brought to Rhode Island Hospital.
According to the RIAC spokesperson, this aircraft had a registration of N55YA from Chatham, Massachusetts.
